Holder for landing net…………

It seems the landing net needs something to hold it upright when not in use.
I am wondering what others use in their boat to keep it handy but out of the way while fishing, but still easy to get to when needed.
    Thanks for any advise.

What style of boat do you run? In my tiller the net stands on edge along the stbd wall and is in easy reach from my “office” chair. A console boat will have a totally different requirement jerr

It is a 16′ console Alumacraft. Needs some sort of upright holder me thinks.

I have a 16′ Crestliner and put three of these in my boat for either rods or net. Easy to install and seem to be quite strong.

A foot long length of 1.5 or 2″ PVC pipe and a couple of plastic pipe straps. Mount it where it is handy and your good to go. Might cost you all of a coupe of bucks.

Just be careful it is secured properly. I have seen a big net with a lot of wind reseistance take the holder off at WOT.

I personally don’t like my net being stored up like that. It is in the way or line of sight and some casts.

When I used to do a lot trolling on Lake MI, I had kept it in a pole holder. Learned a valuable lesson. Have a plastic bushing in the rim of the pipe. After nearly a season of trolling, the aluminum handle wore and snapped off where the wear line was from the holder.
