Pepin Bite

    Has anyone fished Pepin lately, or is it still a little early? Looking to possibly make the trip on Thursday, depending on what others think.

    Be careful of junk in the water yet.

    I haven’t been there but a couple people I know have stopped by with some chatter. One spent a day fighting wind while pulling leeches on spinners and had some so-so luck with sauger and small to medium sized walleyes. He lost fish due to the wind.

    The other report came from a friend who tried pulling cranks towards the head of the lake and found a few fish. No big fish by either party.
