I have a new Skeeter WX 1900 and I am looking to flush mount a hds 5 up front on bow. My terrova has a glassed in tranducer and my question is this. If I flush mount the hds how do I attach the sonar cord from the terrova to the hds? Once flush mounted, the back of the hds is no longer accessible because it is enclosed. Are people drilling a hole to run the cord thru the plate to get to the back of the unit or is there something I am not thinking of. Also, if I do flush mount the hds unit, how do I keep the unit in place and solid to keep it from bouncing around?

You could buy an extension cable if you don’t think you can

reach the shorter pigtail adapter cable.

To mount the unit, remove the faceplate and use the 4 ss screws that came with the unit to lock it in place.

    Replace bezel.

I have an HDS-8 flush mounted in the bow. I just drilled a hole in the plate next to the locator and added a grommet made to run a cable through. Not sure how well you can see it in this picture, but it is just above the power plug for the terrova.
