Recieved this from John Kline…

Dear Mr. xxxxx:
With the state’s walleye fishing season starting on May 10th – an unofficial kickoff to the spring and summer travel season – energy prices are at the forefront as Minnesotans continue facing gas prices that hover near $4 per gallon.
I hear the concerns from countless hardworking Minnesotans, like you, who are tired of feeling pain at the pump. We agree – misguided government policies and onerous regulations are unnecessary obstacles to increased American energy, lower gasoline prices, and more job creation.
In the coming months, my colleagues and I will be working toward all-American energy – a commitment to promote the responsible development of all forms of energy. This approach will help eliminate uncertainty, bring down prices, and position America for greater energy independence now and into the future.
I remain committed to an “all of the above approach” strategy for energy independence, including the Keystone XL pipeline, which will soon be debated by the House. This approach also calls for increased energy production on federal lands.
Renewable energy also plays an important role in this plan. Our initiative includes efforts to increase hydropower and geothermal energy, among other alternative sources. However, given economic challenges facing our country, we cannot in good conscience use your hard-earned dollars to subsidize industries that have failed to demonstrate results and cannot stand on their own.
I will continue to work with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to increase our energy independence and push for more efficient and environmentally reasonable ways to produce energy.
As always, please feel free to contact me on any matter of concern to you, including how high gas prices are affecting you and your family. If you would like to receive future communications about how I am working to reduce energy prices, please visit my website at kline.house.gov/issues.
