    Took my yammy 9.9 4 stroke to a marine dealer in Bemidji, I told them I just moved up from Park Rapids and was looking for a dealer I could trust. Any way I told them it wouldn’t fire and they said it need a carb kit . They called 2 days later and said they installed the kit but it still wasn’t running now it needed a fuel pump, I asked them how much for the carb kit $225.00 $275.00 for the fuel pump, I had them hold off on the pump and called my skeeter dealer in Alexandria and ask how much for the carb repair? $130.00 and $100.00 for the pump.Quite a bit of difference what a rip off by the dealer in Bemidji.I could drive the three hours to Alex and still save 200.00 Just venting Guys!!!!!!!!!Heres to the Bemidji Dealer

    It just goes to show how F’ed up this world has become!! Sorry for the half expletive!! Since I, myself, am totally un-mechanically inlcined…I find mechanics to top the list of shady business owner’s! I do apologize to all the honest mechanics out there but I’ve had some really bad experiences with mechanics over the years and since I don’t know much (my own fault of course), it’s one of the more frustrating things in life….

    Sounds to me like they shouldn’t have kitted the carb without proper troubleshooting. Did you happen to ask them how they ‘know’ it is the fuel pump this time?

    Grandma is on 3rd crow, uncle is on potato, small world (my grandpa, great uncle and great aunt are laid to rest overlooking Belle Taine).

    Is it the cemetary on 18 just west of Nevis? It’s a great area, we’re moving up there in five years. We just built the lake house last year. Potato’s a great lake.
