ice report detroit lakes

    anyone know if the lakes will be ice free in detroit lakes for the opener?

    I would say its a pretty slim chance, maybe small lakes with current.

    My friend ice fished a local lake in that area last Friday and said they were still driving ATV’s on the lake and had 30+” of ice so unless they have a real warm week with some winds I’d say the chance is rather slim.
