Yeah, I don’t know what happened to Brodz this year. I love that guy, but he was off this season.

Well I didn’t know if the Wild were going to find that mean streak 10 minutes in, but they did eventually. I love it. They are in Shaw’s head, he’s going bonkers. We need to keep that up.

Butch, Brodziak, Stoner. All those guys are easily replaceable with equal talent….. Next year the goal is to run away with the division.

I know I am in a minority, but I want to hold onto Butch if the price is right. Its a tough call considering his past concussion issues, but he appears to be back and playing smarter.

I think Brodz just had an off year. It happens.

Stoner I am OK with if he plays on the 3rd D pairing.

You know who we miss these playoffs? Heater. He is good at getting under the skin of the other team. He’s got a bit of an edge and he likes to face wash guys. He won’t be back though with that contract. At this stage in his career he is a good 2-3 liner who can play on the PP.

There was talk in the garage on Friday night that Vanek(sp?) is talking of coming here next year? Have you guys heard that? Good move?

I don’t think Vanek is going to talk with one year left in Buffalo. There is speculation that he and Pominville are good buddies and that we might pick him up as a free agent summer 2014 or possibly trade for him during the season, maybe the trade deadline.

This does seem to be Fletcher’s MO, getting one guy in the hopes of getting another to come along. In the case of Parise and Suter, not only were they talking to them both, guys who are somewhat close, but they also picked up Gilbert and Dowel who played with Suter at Wisconsin.

So I would be more surprised if Fletcher was willing to give up what he did to just get Pominville. I am guessing he also believes that he has set a carrot out there.

I think it is a guarantee that this was Fletcher’s intention if in the off season or next year Pominville gets an extension. If you lock him up, then there is no chance of a Parise/Suter situation out there where they can both choose where they play.

Its pretty cool to see our trio of rookies stepping up.

Zucker not only got that game winner, but how about dropping Seabrook at the end of the 2nd like a sack of potatoes and then standing over him. That’s a great move because you never know if Seabrook or a teammate might come over and take a dumb penalty.

Coyle with a great forecheck and feed.

And Brodin looks like a 30 year old veteran out there. Of all our young players, I think he will be the most decorated at the end of his career. It is amazing how composed he is and he rarely makes mistake. So rare that I can’t recall one. And he is 19. That is remarkable.

I like watching defensemen a lot because it is the one area where the casual fan will expose themselves. They might see a guy standing in a spot when a goal is scored or see one turnover lead to a goal and the next thing you know people are calling for their head.

If the Wild want to continue to win I think they need to expose Rozsival on the Hawks. He is clearly the weakest link on their d corps.
