Looking for info in Eagle river area.

At this time, there is really nothing that is open!!! Lakes that should open early will be the flowages, and it will be tough to get on them… The Eagle River chain will have some open water in the thoroughfares. I am hearing that some of the water to the west of Highway 13 very well could be open… Personally I am going to fish either Lake Superior or Mohawkskin, though I have been looking at the Phillips flowages.
I am guessing that it will be the week after Mother’s Day before all of our water is open and could be later for our biggest lakes!!!

Phillips weighing in here. Of course we still have some goofy ice fishermen out there yet, but it looks like the Phillips Chain could be out by Saturday. It’s moving around a lot and we have today, with temps in the 70’s & some rain, so that will help. Een if the ice isn’t all gone, we should have plenty of fishable water. You can thank your red brothers for our 1 walleye limit on most of our lakes. THAT is going to put a dent in our tourism, sad to say! I’ll be the Tracker with the net out!!! LMAO….. Tight lines……………
