Watching the ESPN 30 for 30 tonight, “Elway to Marino” really getting the blood flowing for tomorrow’s draft.

What will the Vikings do Thursday? Picks 23 and 25. Trade up, stay put, trade back.

I’m hopeful they stay put and go some combination of WR, CB. Wait on LB for later round. Perhaps go WR again in round 2.

    What say you?

I hope they dont drop the ball when it comes to the time allowed and with not reaching for another williamson.

Who cares about the vikings, the real team in the NFC North will be taking matt elam, the safety out of florida. Since Collins went down the packers have really been in need of a safety to help over top. He should provide a little of that.

    Not bad thinking!

I’d love to see the Vikings grab LB Ogletree CB Hayden with our two first round picks. Ogletree is an immature idiot, but he’s a freak talent and I think we have a strong enough locker room to get him on the right path. Hayden is considered by some the best corner in the draft but his draft stock too a huge hit due to a freak accident on the field last year. Both are risky picks and probably gone by the time we pick but they fill big needs and have huge upside.

In regards to WR, the WR talent seems to be very deep and I think they could pick up one that would fit our scheme in the 2nd round. Maybe use our 4th round pick we got from the Lions to move up a few spots and grab a WR thats sliding such as Keenan Allen?

The only draft that really matters is in a pint glass.

what the vikes have like 13 picks? i would trade down if i were spielman. the Packer will have a solid draft as usual. McCarthy has stated that they were “soft” last year. san fran and seattle are going to flat out punch teams in the face. the packers are not at that level. 1996 was the last year that the Pack flat out beat the crap out of people

it’s not a bad idea but we need a lot of stuff. So, ya go with this theory… Either you have safety in numbers and see what pans out OR you go BIG. I dont think this years draft is the kind where you consolidate your picks,,but what do i know..

Yeah, tough to see the Pack competing with Seattle and SF after both teams whopped up on them in 2012 and they just got better in free agency.

Seattle whupped up on the Packers?
They won but only because of the replacement refs.

The packers certainly should have won that game, but heading into this year I think seattle and SF are far superior over GB. If the packers dont spend any money in FA, then they need to excel in the draft. In Ted I Trust

It was pretty clear to everyone in the football world (except seattle and vikings fans) that the replacement refs did not make the right call, so we will continue to tell ourselves that

Uh, this is about the Vikings draft choices, not how many teams wumped the Packers last year.

I’m crossing fingers we don’t take Monti Teo (sp?).

packers have rodgers, detroit has stafford and chicago has cutler. you guys can draft whomever you please and until you have an NFL quarterback you will always be behind. game managing qb’s went out with Dilfer and johnson.
    maybe Cassel is the answer?

The Vikings seem to love Notre Dame, So they’ll probabaly wind up taking Manti Teo and his posse of invisible girl friends

Iowa had a team with a 2,000 yard rusher and made the playoffs???

I must not have been paying close enough attention. Missed it…
