Kid moved to Colorado Springs yesterday and I gave him my 23 year old Ariens snowblower and 15 year old Ariens mower. I now have to replace both and looking for any suggetions. With the great years I got out of my Ariens I hate to switch brands, but don’t want to spend 750 on a mower and 1700 on a snowblower. I can get a Toro mower and 826 OXE deluxe blower for 1450? Help?????????????

John Deere X310 with the snowblower attachment. Great unit. I saw the tractor on sale in the paper this weekend for $4000. The blower and accessories should set you back another $1500.

Bought the same Toro this year. Nothing but good. Starts first pull every time. The joystick shoot control beats ANY crank. Don’t listen to the Ariens steel shoot vs plastic. I had a Toro 521 with a plastic shoot for (really) 28 years. Save yourself some $ and buy the Toro. Nothing against Ariens, they are great also, but over priced.

    John deere x2.

Single stage blower will walk circles around the new stuff. I use a single stage on a tractor for commercial use and has never let me down yet.

My snow blower a walk behind Snapper has a 4 cycle motor. This one got broke in on 16 inches of semi wet snow the very first of the season and I thought I did something bad right out of the gate.

As I got into the removal of 4 properties, I was more impressed! 2 stage of the neighbors was clogging up (2 year old) mine did not. I was impresses with it.

I’ve moved snow for 26 properties in the past, all cement and wooden horizontal surfaces were totaly cleared (2 were commercial). The new Snapper, power for the inch width cleared has been impressive to me in my experience for over 40 years.
