A buddy wants to get the boat out for a run to make sure everything is working correctly. Does anyone know of a open landing near the Bloomington area that is open? I have never used the one under the 35 w bridge there on the Minnesota. Not sure if the one near 494 and Hwy. 61 is open? How about the Lyon’s Levey?

There is also a good landing under Cedar Avenue on the Mn river, just not sure if it’s open now.

Both 494 and Lions are open.

    Thanks guys!
Pete is the 494/61 one easier to get to/put in by yourself than Lions?

Much floating stuff in the channel?

    Thanks!

I’d say Lions is easier if you’re alone since it has a dock – 494 doesn’t have a dock in right now.

I was out on Monday and there was debris in the water but not terrible. The waters changed some since then tho…

I think you need a sticker for the Cedar launch?

Pug is correct. The Cedar (77) ramp requires a state park sticker. There is also a launch at Fort Snelling State Park but that ramp also requires the sticker. Not sure if the dock is in at the State Park.

One would think the Lyndale ramp would be open, but that one is also the first to get submerged when the water goes up..

Lyndale should be fine now. I don’t think there is any flooding going on. Its a nice ramp too, just stay away from the bank immediately upstream from the launch.

of course you could always call Everts and ask if the ramps are open

Hidden Falls in St. Paul is open.
