I’m leaving for the Red River in a week from tomorrow Will be fishing out of Selkirk (sp?) for catfish. I’m not going all the way up there without trying for walleye or big northern. From what the owners of Cat’s on the Red say ~ walleye are not in the river this time of year. My question to you is do i need to run up to Lake Winnipeg or are there other lakes close that I should try. I looked for a map at the book store of Sasashquan and no one had one. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanx! Brian

PS Sure would like to sell my boat before I leave. See CLASSIFIEDS. No reasonable offer refused!

if the cat’s are on the chew you won’t even think about walleyes and snakes. the walleye come into the river in the fall. don’t be supprised if you brake a rod or burn the drag out of a reel or two. fiberglass will work better than graphite.
