Some of the lakes appear to be starting to open up, I am wondering if anyone has been out with their boat to wet a line and just enjoy getting out.
I am getting kind of anxious myself too.

I have not been out yet. Going to bring the boat home for storage tomorrow. Looks like the Cedar is in pretty good shape. My have to try it next week

Storm Lake water level is way down according to reports. Clear Lake should open up soon.

Forgot where I heard it but about a week ago 2 guys were fishing backwaters and got around 20 channels that went from 1 1/2 lbs. to 4 lbs. They have been getting walleyes below the dam here in town on the west side right below the wall. Seen a few guys fishing the faster water on the east side, don’t know if they got any hits. We’ve got rain here for the next few days, hope the water stays deeper then last year and maybe the fishing will be like its suppose to be. The crawlers are up.

Docks are going in at Saylorville and Big Creek this past week. Both lakes were very low this past winter. The “Ville” is very close to normal pool and BC is still 2 foot low.

Fished the Cedar yesterday for 4hrs, nothing at all to report..caught 10 6inch channel cats, but nothing bigger. Didn’t see anybody else catching either. Where are all the fishes??

Fished my local sportsman’s club twice in the last week and never got a bite. Saturday I fished the Turkey river in the afternoon and caught a few large suckers. Been hearing about a lot of walleye being caught below the Guttenburg dam the last few weeks.
