You need to find a girl who likes her “quiet time”. That’s what I got. And she isn’t so clingy that she wants to go fishing with me all the time. You see, I like my “quiet time” too.

If you haven’t figured it out, “quiet time” is code for I am so sick of you, I need to get away for a while.

She will go fishing, which is good once in a while.

Wow Pug, that “quiet time” code language is pretty subtle and diplomtic.

The more direct approach gets employed in our house; “You need to GET OUT and spend a few hours on the water ALL BY YOURSELF”

Maybe the bluntness is outta necessity? Might have to reexamine my perceptiveness re “taking a hint”.

When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I had a few different gf’s that liked to go with. Looking back on it, we didn’t catch a ton of fish, but man oh man were those some memorable trips.

I prefer your hand sketched graphs although this fancy one
    also drives home your point.

As my fishing partner always says: ” If your out chasing women you are doing it all wrong, you go fishing every damn day you can, you make them come to you. If you don’t meet her on a lake fishing she aint worth keepin.” Best advise I have ever received.
I’m 21 and fished my whole childhood and I met my girlfriend on the lake while ice fishing two years ago, needless to say she will be going on my wall one day.

In the crawl space is safer.

You could also have a replica made for, you know, when she is out of town.

Ahhh, it’s becoming clearer (I think)
Those “noisy times” are a significant subset of the factors which constitute the need for some “quiet time” ? ? ?

My son wrecked a trip to Devils Lake ND pining away for his girlfriend. When he got back she played mind games for the rest of the summer. He finally woke up lost a whole summer of fishing.

You are 16 there are lots of young ladies out there so enjoy the fishing, spend some time sorting through the ladies but keep in mind that you have a lot of time to find the right one.

With all the young ladies hunting and fishing these days I think you are going to have a lot of fun.

Suzuki, i wasnt talking to the 16 year old. I was talking to the guy that said he wants his wife to go fishing with him. And let me rephrase what you said, no matter what anyone says.. they arent serious at the age of 16
