So what are some of your goals (fishing related) for 2013 season? Buy a new boat? Catch a 10# walleye? Go fishing more?
Finish off the cabin… ….& with a 2 fish limit up there, it shouldn’t take too long to “fill” the livewell
To see some of the crank bait ideas I have been working on go into production. A company is working on some variations of my suggestions/ideas. Sure would like to see them all the way through the process.
Would like to tickle that magical 70″ mark for lake sturgeon.Seem to have a knack for handing them off. My sister got a 72″ two years ago cousin got a 69″. We take turns on rods so its kind of a luck of the draw. Also would like to put a couple people on their personal best fish. That smile and excitment on their faces never gets old.

Start taking my daughter fishing. Intern I’m getting a used 14′ boat/trailer on the cheap. My son (2yo) seems more interested then she does though. I’m sure once she catches a few crappies she’ll love it.
I’ve been taking my girls fishing their whole lives, they’re in their twenties now and we still go out on the opener every year. Our time in the boat is so wonderful! Keep taking them, it’s all the things you do that mold them into great adults.
get a pb muskie. currently sitting at 51″. Catch a 30″ walleye. Learn to fish the river better. and most important, fish with the family more
I just want to take my oldest boy out a couple of times, just the two of us. Henry is 4 and I guess now that he’s suddenly in school I’m feeling a little pained by how fast they grow up. I want to see him catch some all on his own.
Grouse
Get a few buddies and my family out fishing more often. Catch my next 30″ eye. Learn a new technique(Dragging).
Early to bed.
Early to rise.
Do a lot more fishing.
And make up lies.

x2 neighbor!

Get out fishing 110 times this year. I got out 102 last year. I also want to be more productive during my time off the water so that I don’t feel like I am letting other responsibilities slip. Spend more ‘quality’ time with the lady, keep up with things around the house, stay in shape, bring the dogs fishing more. And it wouldn’t bother me to put a 30 in the boat this year.

Finish compiling enough gear to start salmon fishing lake michigan and actually put one in the boat.
My goals are to catch a musky prop wash trolling and figure out where the main breaks in the river system I fish. Get a 50 + ” er and put my name on the wall of the dam because I have been asked if I own the place,I just rent it for the season!
Start logging my trips…again! I sort of let it go after spring last year.

I started doing this consistently last year. It has already proven useful this spring.

Get back into fly fishing. Did quite a lot when I was a kid. Bought some new stuff this winter and tied a bunch of flies. Can’t wait!
With a new little one exptected in the next few weeks it might be challenge to get out this year as much as I would like. My biggest goal is to try to understand a lake I fish better. learn how to fish it. Also I want to try to see if my two year old can reel in his first fish.
to go to everts resort and meet some of the IDO folks when there not sleeping, sick, or had to much hooch the nite before!!!!!!!
Just to do more stuff… mostly fishing, camping and carshows.
Last summer was kind of a drag for us, when we had a free weekend it was either blazing hot or crappy out.
Catch a northern with a fly rod and catch it with the flies that I tied.

The hardest part is starting one and religiously logging each trip. It takes a year to be rewarded.
Goal last year was to catch 30″ eye. Caught one in Ontario in June but the thing was the skinniest most ugly looking thing in the lake. Huge head huge tail no body whatsoever, might have weighed 6PDS max. So goal now is raised to a 9-10 PD walleye this year!!! Although it was awesome to think that the fish was probably 17-20 yrs old.
Find a fish for the wall. Musky, Pike, Sauger, Walley, Crappie, Pearch, Smallmouth, any will do. My deer heads are getting lonely.
