now that everyone and their uncle has turned down the U of M basketball job, I wonder if the regents, who didn’t want to upgrade the practice facilities, ( and consequently can’t get a decent coach) regret firing a guy who took them to the big dance.. and won a game at the dance as well. because right now TUBBY looks like a pretty good coach , coaching in a pretty cheap and depressed college invronment.. especially since every other candidate said that the facilities stink..

As soon as they figure out how to pay for the Vikings new staduim, they’ll be working on that next. They’ll probably throw a $5.00 surcharge on all MN fishing licenses to do it too.

Would it then be called A.I.S. Arena? And would us out of staters need to pay $10 for a sticker to park outside?

I dunno what M was thinking in firing Tubby. Then again I don’t even understand how you guys even got into the tourny and we didnt!

Nobody regrets Tubby being let go. I doubt Tubby even has any regrets. He was paid a bunch of money to have a losing record in the Big 10. He was paid even more money to go away.

There are no less then 100 coaches out there who could and would come to the U that can manage to have a losing Big 10 record in the largest city in the Big 10. Tubby couldn’t recruit and it seems he couldn’t make players better.

X2… Tubby wasnt a good fit. We lost a lot of good players because they hated tubby.

Stay away from Buzz Williams at Marquette, we prefer him as our coach, go find another

Thats it in a nut shell right there.
If you can’t even get a top level basketball coach to come to the UofM, How could you expect to see any top basketball players to come to the UofM.

Tubby needed to go either this season or next. However, we are now entering the next Dan Monson era…with another name. This is one hard sell and I don’t think Teague is naive enough to think that top flight coaches would even consider this. It will have to be a bit of a no-name coach and hope he is on the rise… (like Monson who actually didn’t pan out).

I personally think he blew it when he didn’t come to terms with Flip.
Anyone know the REAL reason Flip didn’t take the job (money, not letting his son be an assistant coach, etc) ???

They will have inspectors at all of the exits to make sure you empty your pockets and not spread your invasive dollars anywhere else.

The free steam wash is optional.

Yeah, doesn’t sound like Tubby regrets getting fired
