Go see Joe’s Sporting Goods in St Paul. Your wife will love it too. They have a nice selection of men’s and women’s clothing as well as a great hunting and fishing departments.

Great atmosphere for German food, especially on weekends. Also, it was on Man Vs Food.

Very excellent food. Great music downstairs after dinner and very traditional German atmosphere! Its a must do experience if you have any bit of German heritage in you!

This place is newer and a LOT more casual (and less expensive):

    New Bohemia

It is more just a beer and German sausages place, but it is also pretty damn good.

What type of tackle? Bass, Wally? For Bass try Capra’s in Blaine. I second the Black Forest. But haven’t tried the new place yet. Also try Kramarczuks for Polish/European http://www.kramarczuk.com/

For german try Winzer Stube in Hudson, one of the best German restraunts in the country, or so say the reviewers or whoever. It is very good with live music on the weekends and a good atmosphere and a fair price.

Take the 20 minute drive to Rogers and check out Cabelas.
