Where are you getting your weather forecast from?

I see low 30’s and windy.

Should be a nice day to sit outside and watch a baseball game.

I think sitting at home and watching the Wild beat up on the Blues sounds better.

I don’t know guys I have this feeling again. I think the Twins are going to surprise some people. Had this feeling back in 1987, bet a guy before the season even started they would win it all then and they did. Don’t give up yet. Just a feeling. Could be totally wrong, but give them a chance.

Heck yeah!! I mean, i wouldnt be too surprised if we lost 90+ games.. but then again i wouldnt be shocked if we were above .500. I dont think there is any way we could make the playoffs, but we could certainly compete for placing 2nd or 3rd in the division.

I know its spring training and i know it doesnt mean theyre going to do well in the regular season, but De vries, Deduno and Hendriks have looked great this spring. Combine those guys with Pelfrey, Diamond, and Worley and our rotation might be half way decent this year. Im still waiting for Kyle Gibson to get back into the swing of things, which he hasnt been able to do yet this spring. Our rotation has a lot of depth, no definite 1s or 2s which could be a good thing. I forget about Correia, who will be our only innings eater.. unfortunately a 8-15 record will come along with that.

Everyone knows about Mauer, Willingham, and Morneau but Hicks and Plouffe have looked great this spring too. Doumit will be solid, and hopefully our middle infielders and Parmalee can step up a bit!

A lot of optimism here, but hey cmon.. ya just never know.

No wagers this year. But we may need to talk next year. Give Hicks and some of the younger pitchers a chance to get their feet under them. Let Terry Ryan have another year to work some magic.

Vegas has their over/under win total at 68. I’d be overjoyed with 75-81!

Too many what if’s this year. This could be the worst pitching staff ever assembled.

I think the wagers this year will have to be to take the OVER for every game runs scored.

Our offense should be able to put up some runs and we know our pitching will give up a lot of runs

“I don’t know guys I have this feeling again. I think the Twins are going to surprise some people.”

Chirp, I was kind of feeling the same way…until all the injury reports on the pitchers started coming out. For a team that had 90+ losses the last 2 years, pitching was the reason so the current state of the pitching staff has me concerned again. I’ve got a suspicion that Vance Worley might be the next candidate for Tommy John surgery…ugh.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a young nucleues of talent on this team like we haven’t seen since the World Series years. Whether they turn out to be that good is always the question… but pitching (Gibson, Meyer, Berrios) position players (Hicks, Sano, Buxton)… there are some studs on the way.

Still think we’re looking at close to 90 losses and 2 years away from relevance. But the Twins legitimately have some bona-fide athletes in the pipeline and I will enjoy watching their development over time.

No no no no, this years pitching staff is a looot better than last years staff. And last years staff wasnt even the worst in the league! They wont be good by any means, but they are not even close to the worst ever.
