Here are the questions that AFH members have on this

Questions on HF. 1442 AIS STICKERS
    1. WHO GETS THE FUNDING? WHAT WILL IT BE USED FOR?

    2. WHO WILL DO THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE STICKER?

    3. WHAT ABOUT OUT-OF-STATE BOATERS/USERS?

    4. WHAT ABOUT DOCKS, BOAT LIFTS, FLOAT PLANES? WILL THEY NEED A STICKER? CANOES/KAYACKS?

    5. WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE MANDATORY BOATER/SERVICE PROVIDER EDUCATION ON BOAT SAFETY & AIS ISSUES

    6. WE ENCOURAGE THAT REP. HANSEN AND OTHERS WILL WORK WITH THE NEW AIS ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO MOVE THIS ISSUE FORWARD!

How ’bout going with number 5 in a manner substantial and sufficient enough to allow for ideas 1-4 to be put (and permanently kept) where they belong … in the basement of an outhouse

That sure does suck. I will stay in WI to fish if/when this passes. I am not going to put another sticker on my boat and pay MN $30 to stop the unstoppable. Looks like the annual LOW trip is on hold this year

Increase license fees and take it out of one pot if its really necessary. This fragmented licensing concept is confusing and does nothing but push people away from hunting and fishing. As far as AIS they arent gonna put a dent in it. That ship has sailed.

How about dropping #6 and forgetting about 1-5?

It’d be nice if a large group of Joe six-pack’s would show up to express their views on this idiotic bill instead of encouraging it.

Apparently we’ve jumped right past the part where it is decided if this makes sense or is reasonable to asking where the funds are going to be used.

    Unbelievable.

I can’t wait till every lake has AIS in it so we can just stop talking about trying to prevent the spread. Its comical that the best idea people can come up with is a sticker.

Dear anyone with any inkling to run for Governor of the State of MN
I’d vote for any gubernatorial candidate who’d appoint Danno as DNR Commissioner.

    Chicken or the egg?

The Commish follows the direction that’s given from the Governor. Just sayin’.

Ok, get Danno elected Gov then

Although I’d really like him as “DNR Chancellor” … you know a position of authority that’s NOT a Puppet of the Governor

Sorry Desperado, I missed your initial comment for the suggestion box which was similar to mine. As it seems we have like ideas, I’ll appoint you Deputy Chancellor.

If you had to go down to the corner in pouring rain to catch a bus and you could walk unprotected or buy a $1M newspaper to hold over your head, what would you do?

Its ok, I don’t even know what the heck I am talking about.

I depends, would that $1million dollar paper keep the rainclouds from entering the airspace above me ?
