I don’t know the answer to immigration. On one hand, being here illegally strikes me the wrong way, on the other, many of them have legitimate jobs, ones that the majority of Americans refuse or would prefer not to do themselves.

I respectfully disagree. Show me the statistics about how many Americans refuse to do certain jobs that is forcing workers to come to the US illegally.

This whole conversation resolves around the fact that millions of people are living in our country in violation of our laws. It is a burden on our education system, health system, and society in general.

When did it become the norm to just ignore the laws of our country ? There is a valid reason that we have immigration laws, and that is to prevent the situation we are in right now where too many create an economic problem for the states and our country in general.

If people do not like our immigration laws, then strike them down. It is not the role of judges, or any other politician for that matter to make decisions on what they think is right and just decide not to enforce them.

It erodes respect for all our laws.

    Thank you for your time.

Here’s the issue as I’ve simplified it in my mind.

    1) Create effective border control

    2) Don’t let anymore illegals in

    3) Identify and deport the illegals that are already present

    4) Change regulations such that there are no longer any anchor babies, citizenship is not simply a matter of being born here

    5) Change regulations so as to remove education, medical care, etc. for illegals

    6) Lessen the red tape for the folks that pursue legal immigration

    7) Drastically reduce the level of social assistance to individuals and families currently using these services so as to make it more attractive for them to pursue and fill the positions/jobs previously being held by illegals

Seems to me this would solve many of the social service issues that we currently face as a country but I’m a simple guy in many respects.

Says it is Obama’s fault. Trying to buy Votes by granting path to citizenship to illegals.

I would say it is President Obama’s fault only to the point he could have easily done something in his first term when he had pretty much the power to ram anything through and clearly choose not to.

That being said, his party has used this issue to their advantage for quite some time, no question about it.

The reason being that when it all comes down to it, who you vote for is personal, and not always taking a look at what is best for your state or country.

As most Hispanics either know somebody here in violation of our laws, and has a job that probably supports other family members here in the US or back home, economically you can see the writing on the wall.

I am all ears for an answer to this issue, but have yet to see one that does not reward those here illegally and punish those that tried to follow our country’s laws.

    Thank you.
