I wonder if this is in anticipation of the low numbers they may find in Mille LAcs? Got to keep the elders fed!

Greed is an understatement. Its nice to know our monies can be used by those that need them most. I find it ironic that they will void a 16 year agreement or breach an agreement just like that. This is so out of line in so many ways. Im sure they will put some sort of positive B.S. spin on things. Then again, chances are they dont care.

They don’t care about positive spins. They have gotten so arrogant in recent years. This is likey in response to the wolf hunt in WI. Look for this to only continue to get worse, soon they will cross the borders into Minnesota on more lakes than just Mille Lacs. They will deplete every resource available. Deer, walleyes, musky anything they can do to throw it back in our face.

Sacrificial eagles, sacrificial elk, etc. Time for one nation and one people. This madness must end.

I’m with you Kooty. They are purposely depleting the resources for their own selfish pleasure. It is in no way needed as a food source to survive. Once gone they can always kick back and enjoy govt subsidies and gambling money.

All that political rhetoric is BS. The tribes just thumb their noses at the law and do what they want. They tribes are trying to get 2 more casinoes in southern WI and this is just going to be a bargaining issue for what ever permits/licences the need to get them approved. The sportmans, tourists, and business owners will take it in the shorts again.

I would bet it’s also retaliation / leverage regarding the new mining bill just passed.

Do they, or can they spear on Rainy or Lake of Woods? Where can’t they spear in MN?

    This is disgusting…

The problem with this overstepping of the “tribal rights” is that it will end up in violence and death.

    I think they know that

Sad that we put up with it.

There goes your tourists and resorts. 1 fish limit? yeah right, not paying good money to go to a place where I can keep 1 fish.

Just makes me wish WI stocked Eyes like MN does. Different views by DNR, MN seems to be more proactive.

Yet the casino parking lots are full every time I drive by. You want to stop this madness then start at the casinos and hit them were it hurts. That will never happen but you certainly wont ever see me there.

The only problem with boycotting the casinos is 98% of the people in there don’t fish.
