Terrova question

Can I deploy the Terrova and bring it all the way up and disengage the propellar, then record a track and store it while running the desired course/ track with my big motor. Does the terrova also record the speed or just the gps waypoints. This is especially helpful for laying down racks when windy and choppy where i can solely focus on boat control so that when I go back i can fully deploy and engage the terrova and concentrate on fishing…I hope.

I’ve done that, but with the shaft upright with the collar snugged down and – of course – the prop out of the water and not running.

That’s what I’m talking about, excellent, it should save time, frustration and trolling motor batteries for when actually needed, thanks

The Terrova does not record speed, use the cruise control when following the track that you recorded.

I have done that in exactly the same conditions you describe.
I just left the TM down.
Set up to record, drove through with the big motor
    ended the record
    and set the TM speed
and trolled that pass all day grabbing eyes on Gull in heavy winds.
    Works great
