Need a QB to push Ponder. Ponder will be the opening day starter, but I would not be surprised to see Cassel step in. Guy went to the Pro bowl in 2010.

    I like the pick up.

I couldn’t agree more, I’m a vikes fan through n through and I like the direction spielman has them going in. I was just jokin around and if you’ve cheered for the vikes as long as I have it helps to have a sense of humor!

What a great value for the money

You guys might as well have brought in Mark Sanches or Tim Tebow

this coming from a guy who thought Green Bay should go ground and pound with the best quarterback in the league.

I’m just sayin they need a more balanced attack

They need a running back that’ll help keep the defense honest, which’ll make A-Rod that much more of a threat

I would have preferred Alex Smith or Fitzpatrick but it doesn’t matter who we have if we don’t have a WR to throw to….

Greg Jennings paid the Vikings a visit today… Also heard a rumor that the Vikings could possibly be going after Larry Fitzgerald..

    I dunno

If they couldn’t pay Percy, what makes you think they’ll pay Fiztgerald

I honestly don’t feel that the Vikings dumping Harvin was a monetary issue. It was more about Harvin not being happy in Minnesota, he was pretty vocal about that. If a guy doesn’t want play for a team why dish out big money to keep him here? Don’t get me wrong he was a awesome asset to our team but if he is not going to be a team player then why pay big money for him??

    No, I understand

He was starting to become a cancer on the team, with his attitude

But I thought that it started over the fact that he wasn’t being paid what he thought he was worth, as well as he wasn’t getting the ball as much as he though he should either

That would be great addition to spread open the field
Then maybe we could sign a QB that could throw the ball that far…..a little tired of the 7 yard dump pass.

Fitz will not get traded this year. His cap hit for AZ would be so great that he is untradeable.

Cassell is a nice back up. If he has to start- well, consider it a lost season. He got benched for Brady Quinn in KC last year. He is a veteran to help Ponder with some things, especially during games. That should be valuable. I really wish they would have kept Sage last year. It really could have helped Ponder with his development.
