Nice hex again Pug. But nice comeback. That could be considered animal abuse. Just saying. Good win last night.

How do you tear a hockey jersey? And 2 in one fight?

Goes to show how brutal NHL fights are.

Pugs been pretty quiet since the first period. The gf must have yelled at him again and took away his smartphone.

Hey, i am watching the game. Seto sure gets a lot of chances. Mostly because of Cullen. Zucker is the finisher on that line. I am glad to see Cullen gelling with a couple players. Late last year into this year he was struggling. Struggling to get points, anyway.

That second period got a little boring. I get the feeling that the game is going to end in brutal fashion. They need to keep up the physical play.

I hope we get to see Zucker for a long long time.

    Spurgeon looks good tonight too.

I don’t think you have to worry there. I believe he has 4 goals in 10 games including tonight. And that is despite not seeing any PP time where goal scorers can pad the stats.

In a 82 game season that would be about 32-33 goals. Now I I am not saying that he will continue this pace, but who knows, he could pick it up even more.

The future looks so good for the Wild.

Woah, lets not forget Coyle I guess. What a monster shift that leads to a goal.

Unbelievable efforts tonight for each of them to result in a goal.

    Wild win.

Awesome play. Especially impressive play by Charlie Coyle. Excellent potential in that kid.

And oh dear. Chicago is on another streak–dropping thier second in a row.

Chicago has a streak hangover. They’ll be fine, although I see Emery and Crawford are showing some of their old form.

So the question is, what will Fletch get for Pierre Marc Bouchard? He’s probably on his way out unless we get hit with an injury bug.

Too bad too. I like him, but he isn’t the same. Had he returned true to form he would have been like another big free agent signing.

On a side note, Guillaume Latendresse has suited up for just 6 games with the Sens. He is currently nursing a “whiplash” injury. I think he hurt it watching his career go down the tubes faster than Alexander Daigle.

What a game!! 1st period was awesome. We were at the game and Zach scored right in front of us. We were 7 rows off the ice right behind the goal! The fight was at the other end and Burrows from Vancouver is a dick! He was Jawing at Mikko for the better part of 5 minutes and then Mikko finally turned and they were going to go at it, But there was a ref right there seperating them and nothing happened except penalties. Then the Ref’s took control of the game and every little slap was called a penalty. Boo the refs! And they were…..

Burrows wouldn’t fight koivu to save his mom’s life. The last Wild player I think he fought was Butch. Burrows is a finger biting wuss.

The Wild have a number of potential players with contracts running out who might be on the block, but with this short season it’ll be interesting to see who’s seriously in the market and what they bring to the table.

I like Bouchard as well. I was at the last game where he did the Spin-O-Rama in a shootout and it was awesome. I don’t think he gets nearly enough credit for that move and how difficult it is to execute without losing the puck.

I was also at the first game Guillaume Latendresse played for the Wild and the man was a BEAST in front of the net. Man, that’s a tragedy beause he took up so much space out front and he was so hard to move, it’s a shame he never recoverd his form.

There are 3 UFAs (on the Wild roster) after this season. Cullen, Butch and Backstrom. Cullen and Backstrom aren’t getting traded. Cullen will most likely end up back here again for next year. Backstrom will have to take a paycut to stay and even then, it is iffy whether he re-signs or not.

You don’t have to worry about restricted free agents.

What a cheap play by Perry. That is at least a 2 game suspension. Hopefully we get some retribution. Take out Bobby Ryan or Getzlaf.

Zucker may be out for a while. Hopefully not too long, he’s been so good.

Hopefully NOT a concussion. I think he would be a huge loss. He generates a lot of chances.

How is this game not 4-0?

Hard to believe it won’t be a concussion. hopefully he’s one of those guys who can shake it in a week rather than weeks. That injury took a lot of air out of the team who was showing a lot of confidence.

Makes me wonder if this opens the door for Bouchard or opens the door to trade Bouchard for a similar player to Zucker who has speed and shoots first.

    Crap. Ducks just scored.

I was just going to say the Wild are a diciplined club, but if they go up by 2 there needs to be some retaliation for these cheap shot hits. Somebody needs to get pounded, this crap is happening like the dirty hit on Clutterbuck by Hall, and the Wild need to start making it known that payment will be extracted.

That was a pooper of a loss. They played well, but just couldn’t finish.

it will be interesting to see how they respond. Boyd wish I didn’t have to bring out that cliche.

If you want to stop cheap shots in all sports then a simple rule change will do it. Suspend the offending player for as long as the hurt player is out of action. In addition, the offending player loses his salary for the duration he is out. In addition, the offending players team may not make a roster addition during that time. They must play short a man. In addition, the offending players team is fined a matching amount of the lost salary.

This is for any injury that results in a player losing time (additional games). It does not need to be a blatant foul.

It in effect becomes a eye for a eye PLUS.
