    I have a bass tournament out of Fort Madison, Iowa at the end of May and I’m just looking to get some insight on the area. Does anyone know any thing about the area? Mostly looking for what kind of cover to look for and maybe some baits to try. Thanks!

    High water. You will be flipping flooded trees and people’s back yards if it is like a normal year.

    Assuming nonflood stage. Clean water, weeds, baitfish. Find that and u will find fish.

    Is it better to end north and fish the back waters or south and fish of the channel?

    I’d say north to south but thats me! lots of good backwaters from Burlington to Dallas City on both sides of the river!

    There are tons of places to fish. You will just have to pre-fish and see where the fish are.
