About 2-3″ of over night snow here and supposed to get maybe up to another 6″ here. N.E. Iowa up by where Eds from is supposed to get the most, in a band from Dubuque too Decorah. S.E. Minnesota and S.W. Wisc. is supposed to get about the same. Up too 8″ here and more up there where Eds at a good possibility. Its snowing here and all the way to Des Moines and its moving slowly this way. After it quits snowing the winds supposed to come up, but the temps will be just a little below freezing.

I got pretty sweaty trudging through the snow taking the dog for his morning walk!
March 5, 2013 at 12:13 pm #1148470I’d say 6-8″ in Richfield. Finished plowing the elderly neighbors drives, now onto mine. The goldfinches and gray juncos are gobbling up the thistle. Their soft calls are soothing background noise on my break.

March 5, 2013 at 1:01 pm #1148505I think Rochester may have 8 to 9 inches now. Still snowing and the weather map shows snow yet in about five counties to the west, moving slowwwwwww.
March 5, 2013 at 1:16 pm #1148515Snow depth looks pretty close to what it was a couple years ago with all that snow we had all year. If the concrete frost is in place and we go a few more weeks with unseasonably cooler temps with a sudden warm up, the river is going to shoot up and then shoot back down pretty quick…I predict…IMHO.
March 6, 2013 at 3:14 am #1148905Watch out for the rural roads this afternoon and this evening! Mains seemed ok, but the others with the wind and blowing snow were interesting on the 40 mile drive home from the NW from here.
