This may be old new to you guys, but I was just on Cabela’s website looking for the store number to the Rodgers store, and I noticed that Cabela’s is putting in an 85,000 sq/ft store in Woodbury

It’s gonna be located in the Tamarak Village, and it’ll be opening the fall of 2014

Has anybody else heard this, or am I just late to the party

This came out about 3+ weeks ago.

Exciting news though, seems like gander is focused more on Guns than fishing now.

Should create some better pricing and service for us customers.

I heard it was going in the old sportsman warehouse location. Either way I’m happy!

Plenty of land out there for sure. Over in East Moline by the new super mendards would be another good spot. John Deere owns all that land, I’m sure they could work up a deal.

I like Cabelas but sometimes it is hard to understand their employees attitudes. The one in PDC had some Suffix line spots empty on their display for about 6 weeks. I asked a clerk if they couln’t get it or what? Showed online at home. The guy looked it up and says “We got 126 spools in back I’ll have it sent up.” Wait awhile and up it comes ONE SPOOL. I asked how come you didn’t get any for the display. Figure this out his answer is That is not my job to stock the shelf. I thought apparently its nobodies job because its been empty for over a month.

Speaking of Gander Mt., I stopped at their Wausau, WI store the other day and it was like walking into a closeout!! There was virtually nothing on the shelves!! I don’t know if it was just the seasonal switchover or what, but I was so not impressed with the whole setting. I was looking for a 300 yd. spool of 10 lb. fireline crystal, Of course there was no such animal in the store!! It will be a cold day in Hades before I go back to Gander, Just one guys opinion….
