A lot of guys see standard poodles as emasculating, but the breed is highly intelligent and probably one of the best hunting dogs out there. Some guys try and cheat and use labordoodles. Personally, if I was a hunter, that would be my dog.

Still laughing ! Did you catch the part where he looked at his other retriever and asked why he had his tounge hanging out when he hadn’t done anything ? I own a Poodle Pointer which is a very special dog and great hunter and tracker. However I wouldn’t show up at Duck camp with the Westminster Poodle cut on her ! Only Si…

I know of one fella that hunts pheasants with his Great Dane. Pretty good birder too.

Not me , although I think I will let Floyd tag along once or twice next season. He’s been known to kick up birds, but his retrieval instincts are less than zero.

My dog Zeus is the same way. He can go get his ball, but bringing it back is a different story

Obvious setup. He shows up with strange dog that functions perfectly. The dogs trainer was probably standing behind the camera. That show is so scripted its practically a sitcom.

true but the stuff that comes out of their mouths can’t be scripted. Nice looking poodle though! And I need to start going to yoga classes, wowzers!

I don’t watch it for the reality factor, just the entertainment.

Poodles and labs are supposed to be two of the smartest breeds. My doodle is the canine equivalent of a ditzy blonde. Poodles and labs are supposed to be two of the best retrieving dogs. My doodle refuses to fetch.

I must have got a broken one.

My wife was laughing when Jase and Willy were discussing the reunion and Willy said only change was his facial hair and Jase said “and about a hundo”. I think she likes the show more than I do….

I don’t think that the producers really think they are pulling a fast one over on us. I believe the show is along the lines of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Set up a plot or storyline and then improvise your way through it.
