    a good buddies son took a security gate job. Works 4-12 hour days, over time after 8 hours per day. His lodging is company paid. Anytime he is called in and it’s not his shift he gets $100 or more put on a Visa gift card, plus overtime pay. He and a couple buddies went to Alaska last summer for a week’s paid vacation and used nothing but the Visa gift card to pay for food, lodging, gas, and whatever they did. Pretty sweet gig for a kid just out of college, not for everyone.

    The “working girls” are from all over the country and they mostly work off the internet and in hotels. Some are dancers, most are not. It isn’t just oil company folks taking up space at the hotels. And there are a lot more working right now in good old Minneapolis and St. Paul then there is out here. Of course, 5 years ago there were next to none out here.
