    FNH FNS9

I bought one for my wife yesterday in 9mm. Out of all the frames she held, she liked that one the best feel wise. She is a lefty so the ambidextrous safety and mag release were a plus for her. Unlike fishing rods from Dean, we couldn’t get them to allow a “try before you buy” deal. Reviews seem positive. Just curious if any IDOers have one and can offer a first hand review.

I don’t have the FNS9 but I absolutely Love my FNH 5.7 & FNH 45 Tactical. Both are best hand guns I own. Think you will be very happy IMHO!

While I do not own one, I have put @50 rounds thru one. FNH was at the 3-gun nation shoot last year in WVa, with a demo. Nice firearm, company has a good rep and they are made in Va.

I’ve always wanted to get my hands on one of those. They intrigue me.

I bought one in 9mm in January but won’t be much help. Since I can’t find ammo it’s just collecting dust so far. I’m looking for a new hobby and was thinking of getting into competitive shooting.

Overall it seems really good but there is one issue with mine. The ambi slide release isn’t truly ambi. The right side or the thumb side for left handed shooters doesn’t really work. Since I’m right handed this is not going to affect me.

Other issue I’m having is removing the backstraps. Seem to be a pain and not able to remove the smaller one. Once I settle in on my preference this won’t be an issue either.

I’ve had an FNP-9 for several years now and will put it up against anything else I’ve owned. I’m a lefty and shoot my pistols both left and right handed and have found the FN ambidextrous controls to be very shooter friendly. I keep thinking I want to change my holster pistol to something bigger or newer but have not tried anything that outperforms this durable semi with a 15 round magazine. Obviously this is just my opinion. Good Luck and shoot straight !
