Just happened to stumble upon a few old threads from not too ancient history. It got me wondering what some of the old time regulars are up to in their new days of not posting? I know some have moved on with family, priorities, different ventures, etc. Just tapped into the ol’ IDO yearbook and saw some names I haven’t seen in years. Steve DeZurik, Lip Ripper, Gary Wellman, Fisher Dave, Stanman, Dustin Stewart, and many more. Past is the past but I truly miss reports from some of these fellers.

Dustin has taken up cat fishing and between working days and fishing nights for his new fav fish, doesn’t have much time to post.

I saw Steve recently and visit with Dustin & ripper occasionally.Stanman relocated to east side of the country if I remember correctly. The guys are doing great and busy raising their families and working hard to still get out fishing from time to time. Priorities do change as family comes first. But sure am grateful for all of their efforts to share some awesome information and reports. Well done fellas and thankyou!

The first three guys you listed were very instrumental in getting me to stay on this site. Loved their posts and miss their input.

Interesting to sort that list by number of posts!!

I started in 2001, then had computer problems and had to rejoin later in 2001…then it happened again in 2002~!

I lost quite a few posts and reports in the process… but they are somewhere in the archives…

The personality of this website has changed dramatically since the onset of The Electric Fisherman and Fish the River to In Depth Angling and finally In Depth Outdoors…the early years were mainly centered on the river pools and Mil lilacs…little ice fishing and hunting.

A close knit group whose purpose was to educate men to be better fishermen and stewards of the resource…CPR was the mission field back then.

There are a lot of great guys from here that I have known that have “moved on” as Dean mentioned…

But we have grown immensely and still remain a great informational site for fishing and hunting…some old guys are still hanging around and a lot of new faces bringing in a lot of new ideas…I can’t imagine not stopping in every day.

There have been several of our group that have went ahead to scout the best spots in the great beyond. RiverEyes, Dinasour, Travis Renville, Leo Kam and I am sure more that I have missed. Enjoy today for you know not what tomorrow holds!

You know I was thinking about him and somehow left him out. Hooks was one of the good ones and he is so very missed. I am sure there are others as well.

Yup, I’ve met some great men here. One fateful day down on Pool 3 I meet some dudes off the internet. I now have many friends for life.
