I recieved a txt message this morning from the FD saying she just watched an anti fishing commercial on tv.

Turns out it was to air on the Grammy’s, but the station (yay!) wouldn’t air it.

Here’s the story and the commercial…(the link does not go to a PETA site.)

‘spose I should value the opinions of others.

That’s why they created a small wood object that resembles something like a minature bat, to make sure there’s no suffering taking place. I’d like to try a larger version on this commercial guy

I’m surprised the media didn’t run with it like they are with gun control. Maybe they still will, it’s early yet.

He didn’t do well imitating Johnny Cash and now he’s proving his acting ineptness by looking equally stupid in this clip.

He must be suffering from some kind of inadequacy problems attached to his name….who the heck would name thier son Joquain?

How funny would it have been if he was squirming aroung “drowning”, but with a nice jig and plastic in the corner of his lip. Sorry, but I would have

Yea. I wasnt convinced of his drowning performance. Think he needs to do a few more takes and try to make it more convincing.

I think I am going to sell the boat and go vegan I don’t know how I will ever get over the terrible regret of putting all those fish to the knife over the past 30 years

Ok, i’ll be down on the river tomorrow trying to get over my regret

Any dope who would live a year of his life faking some mental breakdown for a mockumentary that sold about 2 copies is a moron.

Was that meant to be funny? He seems sarcastic in it, like he’s not even buying it. Like it or not, the ending result is these people don’t care about anything but their agenda. There’s no respect for anyone else’s opinion, period. So I have little patience with them. Expose them for what they are, nuts. The world over, people like to fish. They like to eat fish. People like to eat meat. People don’t want animals mistreated. But they also don’t like to be told what they can or can’t eat. PETA seems to me, they’ve lost a lot of traction with the average human, by showing their true stripes. Keep up the campaign. Stop the eating of plant matter flesh, they eat soil, feel the sun, drink water and breathe the same air as we do. Stop the murdering of helpless fruits and vegetables.

I couldn’t relate. I think the only people who could are those who believe PETA’s mantra of “A pig is a rat is a dog is a boy”,meaning all life has equal value.

Even though I’m royally pissed at my stepson, and his “creer goals” for when he’s an adult is to become a marijuana salesman (with a possible pharma sideline),I still think he has more value (or potential value) than the pig,the rat,or the dog.

He can practice by sticking his head in the toilet. I’d be glad to help him . . . a few hours after a nice big chili feed.

Even though his views are proposterous I don’t know why the personal attacks. He has a cause he believes in and is doing something about it. I think this winter is making everyone bitter at this point.

Guess I am old school, I respect others opinions but will criticize where their logic fails. Getting personal is something else. Most brilliant men of history were considered “douchbags” of their time as well, you never know who will be right in the end, least it calls for is respect.

And here I thought PETA meant:
    People
    Eating
    Tasty
    Animals.
