Last night I was out walking along our boat harbor. I noticed what I thought was a Beaver or river Otter swimming towards my direction, well it wasn’t an Otter or a Beaver!

I looked down as it went by………..and it was ONE HUGE Muskie with a smaller male doing the bump and grind along side it! This smaller male was really bumping this big mama. The female was 48+ just huge at only a few feet away. It was swimming with it’s back out of the water at times, thats why I thought it was a beaver or an otter. The male might have been maybe only 25-30 inches long? Much smaller than the big female. Question, do you think that the male was trying to bump the eggs out of the female maybe?

    It was something to see!

The old “bump and grind” technique…..we’ve all tried that before!

I don’t think it qualifies as a dry hump.

That is exactly what it was trying to do. Did you ever catch a post spawn female walleye or pike and they almost have a hole in their side? That is what it is from, those males really beat them up during the spawn.

    Bobber, watching is alright too

I suppose you had to spy on a couple bunnies in the bushes on your way home too!
