Any appliance repair guys out there?

I am having issues with our 9 year old cloths washer. This has happened twice in the last two weeks. We do a load of wash and after the last spin cycle we look inside and tons and tons and tons… did I say TONS, of lint mixed in with the cloths.

We live in the country with a septic. The washer machine is a top loader with your typical drain hose out the back that goes to the wall drain next to the hot & cold lines. No water spill over or back up anywhere. Its like the machine has saved up lint for the last 9 years and now is giving it back. Not sure what to do

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!!!

Our washing machine was leaving at residue on our clothes. It kind of looked like lint, but more “gummy”. It ended up being the fabrics softener cup and below it needed to be cleaned out. It was disgusting, but fixed the problem.

We use the Downy ball so no fabric soften goes in the machine but in the ball and ours is for sure lint.
    Thanks!

You sure someone didn’t leave some Kleenex, etc. in a pocket? Does this happen with all the loads, or just some?
