With 2.5 seconds to go, Ben Brust launches a nearly half court shot to tie 3rd place Michigan and also made the game winning shot in OT.

man that was a heck of a game. thats why big ten basketball is the best. They may not put up 80 points like other teams in the south, but you know damn well its gonna be a very physical, hard-nosed game with a great ending!! Congrats to the badgers, atleast the gophers loss to them doesnt look as bad now!

Heck, even your professional hockey team is better than ours. Although I need to point out we have a lot of Badger alumni.

Not being a big sports fan… seeing that video was great. Thanks for posting it!

I would have done a hook shot myself. Nicely done.

It was impressive. There was no luck involved. He locked onto that target at the peak of his jump.

both teams made horrible errors not fouling on those plays.

Great game but the quality of play in the overtime was pathetic by both teams.

I was watching the game at home alone and starting yelling when ‘the shot’ went in. As a Hawkeye fan it didn’t really matter who won but what a great game. Is it March madness already?

    Great game indeed.
I taped it and watched it last night with Nancy. Maybe the best played game of the year for the badgers. Much more enjoyable than those “grinder” games. Like the ones they played against Iowa and Michigan St.

Gotta admit, I also was surprised neither team fouled the other at the end of the game when both teams had fouls to give.

Another big game today when Ohio St & Indiana go at it.

I was at the game and could not understand Bo not fouling at the end of regulation or Michigan at the end of the game. That said the KC was a rockin. Berg’s dunk and free throw was cool also. Burke is the best point gaurd in the country I think. Hardaway’s shot to go up 3 was a very tough shot. I was seated behind Brust in line with the bucket and it looked good all the way if the distance was right. Fantastic finish to a fantastic game. GO BADGERS!!!

Both coaches instructed their players to foul if the right situation presented itself. Bruesewitz actually did the best job of trying, but the no call officiating at this time doesn’t allow for fouls to be called when it is proper strategy!!! They say, let the players decide it with their talent, but we have to remember that there is a mental aspect to the game and those decisions should be allowed to have an impact on the game as well.
