If you are the macho type, you might want to skip this video. Every once in a while I’ll get an email, a video or something that’s too good to not pass along.

One of my daughter’s favorite songs is Butterfly Kisses. For those of you that don’t know like me until I was told, butterfly kisses are when you get close enough to someone you love and blink your eyes causing your eye lashes to “kiss” each others.

If you’re at work, wait until you get home.

    Quote:

Here’s the background story: The father of the bride passed away just before the wedding from pancreatic cancer. So the bride’s brother recorded one of their father’s favorite songs, Butterfly Kisses.

It’s played while she has her “Father-Daughter” Dance with her grandfather, brothers and father-in-law.

…and now, I’m off to the Expo.

Thanks for sharing, and your right if you are the macho type and have a little girl of your own don’t watch until you are at home by yourself in the closet with the radio or TV turned up really really loud.

I attended a wedding just this last summer where something very similar happened.

My wife’s neice got engaged. Not long after, her father’s kidneys started failing. He has had health issues since he was a teen. Long story short, they moved up the wedding date knowing he wasn’t going to last long. 3 days before the wedding, he passed away.

On her wedding day… being the country family they are… my wife’s neice rode her horse up the aisle… while the Brooks & Dunn song “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” played. If you haven’t heard it… it is a must hear. If you have heard it… as you can imagine, there wasn’t a single dry eye within sight (including me).

I’d show Michelle, but she cries when the kids won’t share with the Trix rabbit. I am not in the mood to clean up a spill.

As the husband to a bride who lost her father to cancer prior to our wedding…all I can say is thanks for posting this. Brought back some great memories, and possibly tears.

My step daughter lost her dad very shortly after her wedding. I know it meant the world to her that her dad was able to walk her down the aisle.

    Brian,

First, I want to say, “You owe me one!” after that video. It tears (to pull apart into pieces) me up!

Second, I wish to thank you for passing that on to me once again.

I have an only child, a daughter. The Jimmy Dean song “To A Sleeping Beauty” I did at her wedding. I memorized it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWYY64dRyNg

    Sincerely, thanks friend!

Used to do the bf kisses with my girls when they were little. The oldest got married last August and that was our dance. Might have had to fight off the tears but we kept distracted by stepping on each others toes during the dance, not intentionally. Never did claim to be a dancer.

I got that song for my daughter when she was a little girl. She chose it as our song we she got married last year also.
