Just bought a new unfinished wheelhouse and am wondering if anyone knows of spray insulation that comes in a can for a do it yourself project. Trying to find options other than glueing styrofoam in before finishing walls and ceiling. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I belive there is a kit the comes with 2 chemicals in 2 seperate containers the size of a 20 lb propane tank. It runs through a nozzle to mix them and then turns into a insulating foam. Can’t remember the name or company though. You might be better off looking up someone to actually spray foam it, as this is more of a crack and gap filling foam that I’m thinking of. They may have a sprayable version though.

You’d be better off finding a local spray foam contractor. It will be a lot cheaper than the kits and a better finshed product.

Do the Menards pack. It’s only an ice house. Spray guys have a minimum charge of usually no less than $500. They have to clean up there equipment and that small of a job isn’t worth the time.

My buddy just used one of these kits last weekend to spray a crawl space at his cabin. I think he said it cost 600.00. I would bet you could talk to a local insulation guy and have him spray it when he is doing another job.

To save the minimum fee just find out where one of their jobs will be and bring the house to them. I’ve heard of companies doing that before.

Do a search online. Its more expensive that you might think. I bought some a couple years back. It came in two large cans that reminded me of LP tanks. Neat stuff.

ps-now that I read the other posts I’m pretty sure I got Tiger Foam.
