A real shame they had to kill it. Especially since it sounds like the old geezers didn’t do much of the actual fighting of the fish. And from what I’ve seen of fighting this kind of fish, they way overdid it. It should have lasted less than half that time. For a captain to let it sit out on the dock drying out seems really wasteful. He wanted it for his next booking, which is pretty short sighted. Not sure I’d want to book him for a trip.

What a joke. Pics of crew and not the old anglers.

You’re never going to escape others opinions especially in a public forum so why even mention anything let alone use the oldest cliche in the book.

It might be an old cliche but it sure is a good 1. Well said 85LUND!

I just thought we had been over the issue of keeping a limit and/or big fish here on IDO I guess it is still up for debate

I felt they should have waited an hour or two for the fisherman to get out of bed to have their picture with the catch. Too bad the news reporter couldn’t have gotten this done right… I don’t care that the captain and his friends chose to have their picture taken with the catch, but the news media chose to publish everyone’s picture except the fishermen with the article.
