May not have gotten pics but I am glad to see the show dedicated to something less traditional!

I have learned in life that some people will never be pleased no matter what they receive, but people who appreciate what they receive will always be greatful no matter how small or large the gift.

Noun
1. The process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, esp. at a school or university: “a new system of public education”.
2. The theory and practice of teaching.James, I also believe in seeing you expand the show to a larger audience throughout the midwest. Keep up with reaching out and showing what is available to fishermen – Species, techniques, and equipment. I think the format of the show is about education, and sometimes you need to get out of the comfort zone to learn something new. I appreciate your efforts!

Anyone gong to take advantage of the whitefish tips on this weeks show?
If all goes well, we will be in Green Bay whitefishing either this weekend or the next. So, yes to answer your question, I do anticipate being able to use the tips highlighted in the video.
X2 – Same here if I can put a crew together. Been thinking about doing this for a couple years now. That show on Sunday morning was great!
Well done James, Paul & crew!Bassn DanPosts: 977February 4, 2013 at 1:53 pm #1137859The IDO TV Times page says “Open water episodes kick off on January and will run for 13 weeks through March, 2013.”
The ice episodes I’ve seen are very well done and timely, though I would guess that a lot of people here don’t ice fish, and all IDO members probably fish open water. An open water episode mixed in now then during December and January would be welcome.
Thanks.

Open water episodes start in 2 weeks. One more Sunday of ice and we’re done for the season.

February 4, 2013 at 8:33 pm #1138026Here is my take on the matter. If you don’t like a show ,turn it OFF! Nobody forces you to watch IDO Fishing show, maybe you feel inclined because you are a member? I have never ice fished for white fish,I enjoyed the show and under water footage.
Now onto a more pressing issue… NO late ice shows??? It is alrighht,I will survive some how…
Bring on the early walleye shows!
PaulFebruary 4, 2013 at 9:04 pm #1138036I watched it, was not excited that it was whitefish because I will probably not be fishing for them any time soon. BUT as I started watching the show, I learned some general stuff about using electronics. Not only that, but I don’t see why those techniques couldn’t be incorporated elsewhere for other fish (where regulations allow of course ). Perch are many times taken on a spoon with a short dropper with a small jig attached, why not try it the other way around! Anyone ever tried a similar technique for other fish besides whitefish… no reason it wouldn’t work in my mind although lots of things work in my mind and not on the water
IDO episodes are filled with info… whether you are smart enough to take the info and use it where you are fishing is on you.

No doubt. True story – my work has had donut Wednesday for as long as I’ve been here which is 13 years. Two offices recently converged into a new location. On the first donut Wednesday they sent an email to everyone saying where we could find the donuts in the new lunch room. Facilities got so many complaints by people that facilities killed donut day, something about sending the wrong message by having a fitness center and a donut day. What’s wrong with people?
February 4, 2013 at 9:41 pm #1138060Personally, It was one of my favorite IDO episodes ever!
Almost anyone with a little knowledge, some perseverance, and time put in.. can go out and catch Bluegills, Crappies, and yes even those Wall-Eyed Pike with the information out there. Practically every fishing show in some form or another kind of focuses on pretty much the “same old-same old”. I find it very refreshing when guys like James, Doug Stange, and a few others will actually put in the time and effort to introduce and educate others on species considered “out of the box” by most…… For that I applaud them wholeheartedly!February 4, 2013 at 9:53 pm #1138068

As an Eye guy, I agree I always said the content of IDO’s shows and James delivery, remind me of one of my favorites, who has passed… the late great Tony Dean He too would take you to off the beaten path waters for the not so sought after quarry from time to time. I throughly enjoyed him and didn’t know what would fill the void… IDO shows do a great job of it, don’t change a thing for me
