Morrels are In

    The mushrooms are in. I found approx 50 beauties on Sunday not far from the twin cities. Wow were they tasty last night. I am drying most to either reconstitute later or grind them up and use as a meat spice. I heard that works well.

    We picked & froze 30 guarts of Morrels over the weekend.
    We found these in the Maiden Rock Wi area.
    Had some for supper Saturday very Yummy. Have fun looking Kenny

    I gotta figure out this mushroom thing, I’d love to go hunting, but I have no idea where to start, and I’d feel a bit funny picking wild shrooms. They sure do sound great though…

    I made my maiden Morrel mushroom hunt a couple days ago. Found about 1/2 a plastic grocery bag full. Fried them up with some walleye a buddy caught that day. What a treat. They are awesome fried in butter/oil with flour on them.
