So I have a 6 year Kenmore Washer and my Interdroom went out. My question is the factory parts are $300 and now we are looking at what service will cost. Have heard Sears in Rochester will cost a ton (will check). What to do? New ones comparable are 800 bucks. Any ideas where to look for deals or service advice would be awesome. Getting sick of not having a washer in January and washing at the in-laws.

Get the manual and make it a do it yourselfer, otherwise buy a new washer, isn’t worth half the money to fix something half its age in life expectancy. Plenty of help to search online, I completely disassembled a Maytag Neptune, the second time around was easier than the first…

Put a service agreement on wait 30 days and get it fixed.

I’ve ordered from them a couple of times. Factory OEM parts for WAY less than locally and fast delivery. They also have a Help section for instructions on how to DIY.

    Good luck.

Remind me never to do business with you.

If you can’t find a manual, give me the model and maybe I can find one for ya.

Get hauled into court? Much easier for them to just tack a few extra bucks on the gas bill to cover the cost.

And which gas company can do that Mike?

Wouldn’t be center point, their contracts are seperate from gas sales, you should know that, it was the plumbers and such that caused us to go to a contract and gas sales plan and they are seperate from each other..

I would check with Sears. They should allow you to add a service contract to your appliance even if the warranty is expired. I added a plan to my old fridge. I think it cost about 200.00. It would have cost close to 500.00 to fix. I chose not to fix it and they applied 500.00 to the purchase of a new refidge. I thought it was a pretty good program.
