I have hundereds of old family pics on slides and have started to do some research on how to transfer them to a digital format. What I have discovered so far is there is so much out there I do not know where to start. I am hoping that there is an IDO member out there who has been down this road and get me started in the right direction.

A couple years ago, I did that using a scanner that came with a plastic bracket to hold films and slides.

Steve, I do a lot with history projects here in Bloomington. The city has thousands of old slides in their archive. We asked for permission to copy them and they hauled them out for us. We copied over 1500 and they came out great. I also have used it for my personal slides. I bought the digital copy unit on e-bay or Amazon for $65.00. It is called Imagelab and I have had great luck with it. Easy to use. Good luck!
