I’m wondering if anybody has fished the area. Since Salmon is not open I thought fishing shark would be interesting to try. My wife and I will be visiting the area towards the end of Feb. I would like to find a smaller charter that would be willing to take out a small number of people seeing it’s only the two of us. If anybody has some info to share I would greatly appreciate it.

Been better than 20 years since I had been out there but did make it out on a charter once. Dont think it will be hard for you to find a charter boat. We bottom fished. Started out going out and catching squid. Then took the squid a little farther out, dropped to the bottom in very deep water and caught our fish.

This was a party boat so room for plenty of people. Kinda like getting on a launch at Mille lacs. Might want to bring some sea sick pills. Remember watching the boats around us disappearing as the swells came by. Would guess 10’er or bigger but then again Im just a flat lander from mn and what would I know about waves.

They also have pretty good striper fishing.
