Was out on L.O.T.W,S this past weekend,& my fl-8 finally died on me,started to make a loud screatching noise followed by a constant buzzing.I took it apart,& found the motor was the culprit, does anyone know where I can find replacement electronic parts? I called fish-electonics & they want $120 to basically tune it up. would like to repair it myself if I can find the parts, didn’t find much on-line yet. any help would be great.
By the way fishing was very slow, lots of dink walleyes & a bunch of tulibees.

Vexilar sells brush kits, but it sounds like your whole motor went. Going to be a costly fix for sure, if you can even find the parts. Best bet would be to send it to vexilar and have them take a look and see how much it would cost to fix, if its too much the keep it for parts and buy a new one.

I have never heard of a vexilar dying. Wow. Nice work! Give her a honorable burial and buy a used one. Best of luck with the fix if you choose that option-

If you take it to them and you are color blind, they can install the cool blue also. FYI

Also works great if you are not.
