Is there a way to pm pictures? I’ve got a marked lake map on my phone that I would like to send to someone. I feel like it’s probably something simple

I am not sure if there is a way to get the pic from your phone in a pm, BK or James should have the answer to that.

1: first post the pic somewhere on the web like photobucket or even here on IDO.

2: Once posted right click on pic and click on properities.

3: Highlight & copy the properities link.

4: Click on “Image” under “Instant UBB Code”.

5: In the pop up box paste in the properities link and click ok.

6: Finsih the PM just like any other post when you click on “Continue” you should see the pic in the preview if not then there is something wrong with the link, it is possible that there is code in the pic not allowing it to be coppied.

Just like you said Steve, the photo needs to be on a server first.

I’ve been using Facebook to hold some photos. As long as the privacy settings are public.

The pm would look like this only with out the two “*”‘s.

So if I take out the “*”‘s, it would look like this in your pm.

Facebook is no good for many, many users. First, anyone viewing the post would also need a facebook account. Also, most companies block facebook from the corp servers.

All I see are a bunch of red X’s in your posts BK.

I kept an account on Photobucket just for the purpose of sites that don’t host pics on their server. As stated, click the “Image” in the Instant UBB Code and paste the photobucket a address of the pic into the dialog box. Then your good to go

And that would be a good thing, right?

Keep in mind if you use photobucket and you delete the pic from photobucket after you make your post on IDO the pic will turn into the dreaded red X .
