We just got our permanent fish house on mille lacs tonight. For some reason we can’t get any of our sonars to work??? We have vexilars and marcums. They all look like a racetrack of marks come from the bottom and racing to the top.
We have one on and still get the feedback. We have tried with only one unit on. We have a generator running but tried without it on.

We must have parked this thing on a sunken boat or something???

    Any ideas

Bubbles being released from the bottom I bet. Pop some holes out around it and see if you still see them.

    Fan motor running?

Just to clarify you cut ALL power completely and tried each unit solo at this time?

If you are still having issues I live on the lake, PM me a phone # and I can probably swing by tomorrow morning.

are your transducer pucks at the bottom of the ice?? I thought I had a vexilar issue once but it was cause from the trancducer still being surrounded by ice !!

We figured out it is the generator. As soon as we unplug the generator from the outlet on the outside of the house everything works fine. Even with the generator still running.

So there must be feedback coming through the electrical lines in the ice house???

    Any ideas?

Problem solved. Had open grounds in the electrical panel.

    Just thinking outloud here,
If you have open grounds in the panel, I would go through the whole system box by box, fixture by fixture and check it all out. jmo.
