I am guessing that seeing all the sponsor hoodies and not the new IDO hoodies on the show and the lack of them in IDO gear that sponsors win out.

You wear other companies clothing so their sponsorship dollars pay the bills.

The value of the hoodie or hat worn in a TV show is just this side of zero to a sponsor that knows what matters. I need to change clothes just like everyone else. And even throw them in the wash from time to time.

If you want some customer reviews… I have never once thought to order a marcum because I saw it on your chest James. Don’t let them influence your choice of swag.

My thought process on clothing selection goes like this…
This one’s dirty and smells like minnows. I think I’ll wear that one… as long as it isn’t dirty and smell like minnows. If I’m on a long trip and all my clothes are dirty, which happens often, I’ll opt for black as it hides the stains.
Again, sponsors could give two hoots about the clothing I wear.
And in case someone is wondering… this week’s show was filmed in a freshly washed and smellin’ like dryer sheets IDO hoodie. Ahhhh, its good to be home!
January 17, 2013 at 8:03 pm #1132003Shew! I kept thinking that if you guys start wearing a Shirt ” I pooped Today” like I see on the ads once in awhile on the site I might have clean my shorts

We are polar opposites.

January 17, 2013 at 8:46 pm #1132029I remember bringing up the IDO Hoodie conversation almost 5 years ago when I was at the hospital as my middle boy was being born (well shortly after I guess). Glad the thing had legs and is still going YEARRRS later!
January 17, 2013 at 10:22 pm #1132080Ok my bad I was just wondering if you are not going to offer the IDO hoodie. Didn’t want to know your cloths change keep that going and BK will be telling us the color of his lucky briefs. Somethings I just don’t need to know.
January 17, 2013 at 10:52 pm #1132093I was talking with the “boys in the hood” and they said very soon. Maybe even in time for Valentines Day.

James, any word on the new Hoodies?
Yes! I have final pricing on two options, one silk screened on a medium weight and the other embroidered on the heavist weight hoodie I could find (the same hoodie I’ve been wearing on the ice the last 5 years). The heavy weight version isn’t going to be cheap but it will be the same as the one’s the staff guys and I have been wearing. IF you don’t want the heavy weight, the medium weight is a good garment as well.
Plus some decals and a knit moisture wick cap, also with embroidered logo.
I’ll be placing the order tonight. I should have a delivery timeline in a day or two.

Is there a waiting list to get one or so ?
No, quantities will essentially be unlimited. I’ve set this up so the company making the hoodies will also be handling the order processing and fulfillment. That’s what took so long. I knew that with my travel schedule there was no earthly way it was going to work to have me fulfilling orders. That and I was looking for a very specific hoodie that almost nobody offers. Like I said in the post above, I have one that is 5 years old that is a little faded but still doesn’t have a stitch out of place. I wanted to offer that hoodie as our “premium” hoodie with the big logo across the chest. Found it!
January 18, 2013 at 12:02 am #1132124I bought a Marcum because I seen the sweatshirt in the mille lacs “big baits” show I would like to purchase a couple IDO sweatshirts as soon as they are available though, would look great in my fishing pics
January 18, 2013 at 12:10 am #1132128Color options also? Just thinking about one in a winter white landscape camo for representing the hunting side of IDO

I probably phased my initial post wrong. It’s name recognition. If someone is in the market for a new flasher and they watch a few fishing shows and see the product name they will think about that product and probably inquire about it while shopping. I’m not saying this is why James’ wears what he does but that is why they make company shirts.
