Hockey equipment stank

Thats right I said stank. I love it, my wife hates it. We have a small room off of our basement bathroom that the previous owners used for a sun tanning room. I turned it into our hockey room. The problem is with my goalie equipment and the kid’s equipment the basement really starts to stink. Does anyone know of any air cleaners that would work for this so my hockey stuff doesn’t get booted to the garage?

Put one of those wall plug in air fresheners in there and
    keep an oscillating fan going.

Make sure you and yours like the smell of the freshener!

Spray it with Febreze before you put it away.

Some hockey rinks and sport sellers have an ozone wash for hockey equipment, check em out.

I use Febreze Sport and it works alright. It doesn’t remove all the stank but it sure helps. Be very generous when spraying.

The only down side would be teammates harassing you about smelling nice and “fresh”.

The link was just to show you the product. You can get it much cheaper at Target or other retailers.

Now that the strike is over, smelly ‘ockey type stuff shouldn’t be a problem at home oot in the gayrage anymore, eh.

Dont be afraid to wash the gear once and a while! Hot water, Bleach, Soap and a double rinse!! Dryer sheets in the bag helps, at the hockey stores they make scent balls too. Oh and wash your hockey bag
