At this point it could be a drive thru Cabelas and I would still be hooked..

Agreed, 85,000 sq. ft. is not small by any means. In fact I think thats almost twice the size of Joe’s.

BTW, Joe’s is a reall good store also.

I moved to St Paul from Milwaukee last year. Joes Sporting Goods has grown on me and Ive come to appreciate their personal customer service. While living in Milwaukee I watched a Cabelas sink a Gander that was five minutes down the road within two years of opening. Gander got wise and switched it to a Gun World. I hope Joes loyal customers can keep them afloat.

That will be sad if Joe’s goes under.
Pretty doubtful as Cabelas has gone down the crapper in every single facet the last few years.

I go out of my way to support Joes. They seem to always have what I want, even with half the size of Gander. Sad moving from St Paul to Hudson so I don’t get there as often as I can.

Cabela’s has the best return policy and best customer service. Joe’s and Gander Mountain have terrible return policies. You would be stupid to make a major purchase anywhere other than Cabela’s if locations are similiar distance from home.

As a recognized customer I was given store credit from Gander for a 3 month old return yesterday. That was actually impressive.

I’ve had nothing but great service and product from Joe’s. But, I guess not everybody is as lucky as I am.

Joe’s will not go under. Their main business is and always has been skiing. Cabelas does little if any business in that market.

I like the idea of a local Cabelas. Free shipping to any store location is sweet. I just cringe at having to go to any woodbury store or resturant. Worst collection of snotty, spoiled, rude teenagers in the metro area. I hope Cabelas hire help from Wisconsin or turns away any prospective employee younger than 25.

I use the free shipping to Rogers a lot. You’d be surprised how many times I go there to find a 150,000 square foot facility doesn’t have what I want….

I wonder if Cabelas know haw badly the city of Woodbury is screwed up? They made the announcement that they were buiding there. However, accoding to city planners, they know nothing of these plans.

The phantom Cabela’s and the plot thickens.
I just looked at an aerial view of Woodbury now that is messed up. Be curious to where they would build my guess would be along 494.

Skiing and snowboarding is 3 1/2 months out of the year.
Cabelas tends to have the Walmart Effect on Ma and Pa shops.

You sure you did not mean the school board without a plan ? It has been a year or two, surely it is time to change school boundaries or the superintendent again…
