The world is far, far to serious these days. List your top 3 all time comedians.

    1) Eddie Murphy

    2) Richard Pryor

    3) Crap, blanked out on his name. He is the ventriloquist with Bubba J.

    Bill Cosby

    Steve Martin

    Bill Engvall

Last one I just seem to relate to his stories but Cosby was the all time best.

I think Robin Williams had the quickest mind/wit.
and no-one could deliver a line like Johnny Carson.

I believe the drunk on the Dean Martin show was Foster Brooks and he was hilarious!

Groucho and the boys were all about sight comedy. Today, it’s who can tell the raunchiest jokes. I am surprised at some of the names posted and I had forgotten all about their work. Being the old guy that I am I really prefer the older comics. Some of the names posted I have never heard of.

I think their is a difference between being a comedian and to doing slapstick comedy. For slapstick, who can leave out Laurel & Hardy or the 3 Stooges !!!

He may not have done stand-up comedy, but I consider to Tim Conway to be the funniest man who ever lived. John Cleese is probably number 2.

I’m more of a physical comedy guy.
